Thank you for your interest in participating in EyeTracking Research Studies!

What am I signing up for?

Completing the sign up form confirms your interest in participating in EyeTracking’s User Research Studies. Sessions typically last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and compensation for your time can range from $25 to $100 or more, depending on the study. Signing up only takes a couple of minutes.

We are looking for all types of people. Every study is different and requires individuals of various backgrounds. Not qualifying for one study does not mean you can’t qualify for future studies. Feel free to ask others to sign up too, the more the better!

Please provide as much information as possible, since it helps us ask you better questions. We will contact you by email or phone with more information about our next study. (EyeTracking will not use the e-mail address you provide for any other purpose.) You may not hear from us right away, but don’t worry — you’ll be on our list!

Please note: Entry into the Participant Database does not guarantee participation in our research studies. When we plan for upcoming studies, we will query our database for potential participants. If you fit our criteria, we will give you a call or send an e-mail to schedule a time for you to come in to meet with us. If you might fit, we may contact you to ask a couple of questions to determine eligibility.

If at any time you wish to stop receiving communications about future studies, just send an email to or call us directly at (619) 265-1840, and we will update your profile promptly.

Frequently Asked Questions

EyeTracking conducts user research studies to gather feedback about various websites, software, advertising and packaging products. To ensure that the feedback we gather is indicative of what most people experience, participants in the study must fit within the broad range of our target users.

The Participant Database contains names and contact information of potential participants for user research studies at EyeTracking. All information is kept confidential and is not used for marketing purposes; it is used only to screen potential participants for studies.

In preparation for each research study, a profile of users is determined based on the target users for the product. We search the Participant Database for users who match our target user profile and screen them for eligibility. Entry into the Participant Database does not guarantee participation in our studies. We then contact prospective participants who match our needs and schedule a time for them to participate in the study.

Participants are compensated for their time. Factors, such as the length of the study, and type of study determine the compensation offered.

The time varies for each study, depending on the type of research study. This time can be anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours.

For usability studies, participants are asked to come to a facility and participate in a usability session, which can last anywhere between 20 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the study. The location of the study is usually in Solana Beach, but may also be conducted at other cities throughout the world. Each participant meets one-on-one with a Researcher at EyeTracking, and is asked to complete various tasks. Compensation is offered at the completion of the session.

The information you provide to us for the User Research Participant Database is used by EyeTracking to contact you for research opportunities. We do not make this information public or sell this information to others.
